Side-By-Side matrix
A matrix question allows you to collect data for a single dimension, whereas a side by side matrix lets you collect data in two or more dimensions. Each column has sub-columns that collect choices, opinions, and feedback from the respondents. For each answer item in rows, a respondent needs to select one of the options in sub-columns
Adding a Side-By-Side
- Go to: Login >> Surveys >> Edit >>Workspace >> Add Question >> Advanced >> Advanced Matrix >> Side-By-Side
- Add Row/Add Column/Add Dimension: In matrix question, we can add multiple rows and columns using add row/add column feature. You can also add dimension from this field.
- Required: When you add questions to a survey, by default, required option is turned off. When required option is not enabled, respondents can continue with the survey without selecting answers. If respondents go through all the pages in the survey without selecting answers, the response is still considered as complete. You can enable required option to make a question required so that respondents can continue with the survey only after responding to the questions.
What is the scale definition?
The scale definition is the number of points (and the text for each of the points) you want in the scale. In the above example, we are using a 5-point rating scale.
Can I change the "Structure" of the question once it's created (add/remove scales etc.)
At this point, SurveyAnalytics does not allow for editing the structure of the question. You'll have to delete the question and re-create the question if you want to change the structure. You can however edit the text of the questions and the scales as you see fit.
